Where it actually came from is I had to educate myself on all the new Gen Z slang. It’s usually like, “Oh, it’s a feeling, like, they’re giving off this vibe.” You know, that sort of stuff. I mean, I have used the term “vibe” a lot, but definitely not in that way. The terminology of doing a “vibe check” - is that something that you had been using in your life? Especially as a comedian, you know, there’s some things that I don’t get to say in my standup sometimes. There’s a lot of stuff where I was like, this is something that I could use to just like, vent my personal issues or my points of view.
